Pastor Don is a native Floridian, born in Tallahassee and raised in Tampa. He has been happily married to the former Marie Giliberti of Miami Florida for over 34 years. Don and Marie have three grown children, Paul, is an attorney in Springfield, Missouri and is married to Shay Cash, they blessed Pastor Don & Marie with their first grand-child, Graham Henry and now have added a little girl, Lena Grace.. Jessica is a PhD student and on assistantship at LSU as a theater major in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is also married to Rhye Gray who is a student at LSU as well. They are the proud parents of Pastor Don and Marie's second grandchild, Ariana Marie. Jessica is the Director of Religious Education at a church in Baton Rouge. Rachel, the youngest of the children is a graphic artist for a marketing firm in Chiang Mai, Thailand, she has recently relocated to Springfield, Missouri and is helping her brother and his wife with the babies. Pastor Don has three brothers who are all in the ministry, his twin brother, Ron serves as pastor of First Baptist Church of Port Tampa in Tampa, FL. His older brother, Cliff is Director of Disaster Relief for the SC Baptist Convention and his younger brother David is Minister of Music and Worship at Roebuck Baptist Church, Roebuck, SC. His sister, Barbara Kingman is Director of Choral Music at Florida Christian School in Miami, FL and is married to an ordained minister.
Pastor Satterwhite served as director of two para-church youth organizations during the late 70’s and early 80’s in Alabama and Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. For nearly 15 years he served as pastor of churches in South Carolina and for 5 years he served as senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Raeford, North Carolina. He most recently served as a mission pastor at West Chester Community Fellowship, in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Pastor Don is a graduate of Florida Bible College with a B.A. in Biblical Education. He is also a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies. In May of 2003 he earned his Doctor of Ministry degree in Evangelistic Church Growth.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, golf, downhill skiing, and traveling around the world. More than anything else his passion is sharing the gospel and encouraging saints to faithfully share the message of the good news with everyone that they can.
He has served as moderator of the Savannah River Baptist Association, on the World Missions Fair Steering Committee of the Lexington Baptist Association and as President of the Pastor’s Conference in several associations. Currently he serves as a member of the Embrace Baltimore Team. Pastor Don has a desire to see people won to Christ and has been on mission trips to Nairobi, Kenya, Scotland, The Bronx, New York and Cherokee, North Carolina. His philosophy of ministry is to reach people where they are and allow God to work in their lives.
